In Algiers, in 1957, the parachutists brought order. Henri Charlègue, the director of a newspaper sympathetic to the FLN "Democratic Algiers", went into hiding. His newspaper was banned. Charlègue is arrested by the parachutists with his friend Maurice Oudinot. They are taken to an interrogation center. Both are tortured and Oudinot dies during an interrogation. Charlègue is brought to justice. While behind bars, he secretly writes a story about the conditions of his detention which will be published in Paris in 1958. made by Laurent Heynemann
