Immigrant women are aging too, and they are aging in silence. An exile without return for some, settled in a permanent temporary, a definitive break with the native land for others. Erased from the landscape, memories, Fatma, Teresa, Rosette, Esther, Eliane, Alexandra, Balo, Mama Fanta, have lived several lives. These women are the last survivors of a period in the history of labor immigration, exiled, fleeing the pogroms.
Despite the difficulties encountered, the weight of traditions, insurmountable suffering, they led their daughters Aïcha, Samia, Ourida, Hélène, on the road to school, to emancipation.
