Michelle Mohabeer, is a Toronto-based award winning film/video-maker, film scholar, professor, writer, and curator, whose films include Coconut/Cane & Cutlass and Child-Play. She currently teaches Film Studies, University of Toronto, and is editing a critical film anthology, In Between Spaces, focusing on Independent film and video produced by indigenous and diasporic women in Canada.
