Jamaican born, my work on popular culture has spawned a new area of research called Black Atlantic performance geographies and economies. Developing on my recent book entitled DanceHall: From Slave Ship to Ghetto, I am currently working on my second book which documents international reggae festival geographies and (political) economies. I am a senior academic with over 12 years research experience which has produced works published and presented in regional and international spheres. I am a Senior Lecturer at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus.
